Global Mobility Survey

Workers now stay for less time

While more people are willing to work abroad, the Global Talent Mobility Survey reveals that the time people are looking to stay abroad is shrinking. In 2009, nearly half of the mobile workforce looked to work in another country for more than five years. Fast forward to 2011, however, and this ratio has decreased by 20% to just over a third. All of this points to a workforce for whom fixed-term contracts will be more and more appealing, and to employers who can more easily manage their international workers.
